A busy day in the Smokies

We awoke somewhat early (7am) and left around 8am to go eat breakfast at The Log Cabin restaurant on Airport Road in Gatlinburg. It was a big breakfast at that. We all were full as ticks (my Mom would have said)! From there we went through the Craftsman Loop and shopped at several of the places on that trail. On the way to Cherokee, saw a baby bear cub up in a tree. Way up in a tree (see picture).

We ate a late lunch at Wize Guys in Cherokee. Good sandwiches and onion rings. Shopped some more in Cherokee then went back through Gatlinburg one more time. Started a new tradition for our RV travels… we are starting a magnet collection for our RV refrigerator. Bought our first magnet showing several places we visited in the Smokies this time. Renee took the dare to stick her feet in the Little Pigeon River. Stopped by the Tanger Outlets and looked into the Vera Bradley store for a few minutes. Went to Publix, bought some steaks, kabobs and sausage and cooked out with our friends, Brad and Lisa, at our RV park. Had some good taters, green beans, and watermelon with our meats. Full again! And was cheap! Took a short walk around the RV neighborhood, talked to some RV park neighbors, then decided to turn in for the night. More travels tomorrow on our way back to civilization (and work?!?!).
